A large American Forces cargo plane, without the permission of the President, leaves a base in the United States destined for somewhere in Europe in a covert operation. Friday morning, en route, it experiences trouble in two engines and tries to land at C.F.B. Shearwater in Halifax. On its final approach, it loses a third engine and crashes into the north end of Dartmouth. The ensuing catastrophe causes many casualties, not only from the crash itself, but from the ensuing smoke, chemical fumes, and the environmental conditions. It was filled to capacity with...
