This work utilizes a mixed methods approach§consisting of a standardized survey, the Defining§Issues Test (DIT2), and classroom observation to§explore the question of the impact that a business§ethics course has on student moral development. This§work involved collecting data over the course of a§semester from students enrolled in four business§ethics courses at three religiously affiliated§colleges in Northeast Iowa. Rest s Defining Issues§Test 2 was administered at the beginning and end of§the semester along with classroom observations§throughout the semester. Past studies on business§ethics education have varied on conclusions§researched; the same occurred in this study, although§a litany of patterns that evolved from this research§provides guideposts for very interesting future research.
