Within maternity care midwives and consultantobstetricians are frequently required to collaboratetogether in an attempt to provide optimal care forwomen and their babies. In this way they are engagingin interprofessional collaboration, a much debatedand increasingly popular policy agenda within healthcare. However, despite the growing support forinterprofessional collaboration there is a limitedunderstanding of how patient experiences areinfluenced by interprofessional working.
