The Second volume of this exhaustive work provides a genuinely international, comprehensive and multi-disciplinary reference to the many fields relevant to the general field of nanotechnology, aimed at graduate students, researchers, and practitioners. The first edition of the Encyclopedia of Nanotechnology introduced a large number of terms, devices and processes which are related to the multi-disciplinary field of Nanotechnology. For each entry in the 4 volume set a 4-10 page description was provided by an expert in the field. In the Encyclopedia of Nanotechnology 2nd edition, about 20% new entries are introduced, which equates to 65 new entries. Furthermore, references will be checked and updated where applicable.
