E-government initiatives are in their infancy in many§developing countries. The success of these§initiatives is dependent on government support as§well as citizens adoption of e-government services.§To date, there has been little research exploring the§adoption of e-government services by citizens in§developing countries, a gap this book aims to address§in its attempt to explore the attitudes and§perceptions of citizens towards the adoption of§e government services. Factors that determine both§intention and use behaviour, such as performance§expectancy and effort expectancy, are identified§using an amended version of the Unified Theory of§Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model. In§addition, factors that influence the adoption of§e-government services, such as technological and§cultural factors, are also identified and analysed.§This book is expected to deepen understanding of the§most fruitful approaches to improving the provision§of e-government in general and the adoption of§e-government services in particular, and will be an§invaluable resource for decision makers, government§leaders, professionals and researchers in the field§of e-government.
