This book utilizes case analysis to explain child soldiering in different scenarios, uses hierarchical analysis to explain the motivation of child soldering and the relevant challenges, then resolves the problems through the approach of "Public-Private Partnership". It seeks to produce an in-depth explanation of child soldering in Myanmar, through three tiers of research. §Firstly, the book places child soldiering in its historical context, and argues that child soldiering is a social construct. Then the book develops case analysis in China-Myanmar, Thai-Myanmar and Bangladesh-Myanmar borders regions. Secondly, the book concerns the complicated motivations of child soldering, explains why many child soldiers are volunteers through the perspective of Stockholm syndrome, which is rarely mentioned by published works. Thirdly, with regard to the challenges, the book highlights the possibilities of child solders being transformed into lone wolf terrorists. It also tries to resolve the challenges and barriers through the approach of Public-Private Partnership, which prefers "consensual engagement" through intercession and humanities assistance. §
