Carlos is a dedicated, talented coach who has pushed me beyond my limits to improve my times. I didn't participate in sports when I was in school because I came from a very different education system where academic achievement was more important than anything else. By the time I got into triathlon, I was a journalist holding down a very demanding job. I had little time to train, and often had to skip key workouts. But Carlos worked with me to maximize my efforts, allowing me to reach the finish line in a time that I could be proud of. I'm forever grateful to him for my gains in fitness, endurance and confidence. More important, I'm grateful to him for bringing the best out of me, and for his encouragement.
