It is the year 2015. An organization of political activists called The Walking Star, who believe the Food and Drug Administration has knowledge of a cure for a deadly illness that has ravaged the American meat supply, stage a suicidal protest with 200 people dying every hour until someone comes forth with evidence of a cure. Carmen Piper, an art instructor, learns that she has the power to put a stop to the events at hand when she receives an unexpected phone call from the leader of the organization.
